Default When God Made Correctional Officers

With Mother's Day on the horizon, there will be many well-deserved kudos going towards that under-appreciated cadre of workers. Another that gets even less attention, are correctional workers. Next week is Correctional Workers week, so in honor of them . . .

I've often heard that if you ever doubt evil exists, go talk to a corrections officer. They'll say something like "Oh yeah, evil exists all right. We release evil into the streets every Thursday."

That's gotta be rough, disheartening work.

Quote:
"That's not a leak," said the Lord, "it's a tear"

"What's the tear from?" asked the angel.

"It's for bottled-up emotions, for fallen comrades, for commitment to that tattered piece of cloth called the American flag, and for lady justice."

"You're a genius," said the angel.

The Lord looked somber and said "I didn't put that tear there."
