The Book of Mormon. My wife and I just finished our study of the Bible, which I enjoyed greatly, she somewhat less. We have started reading the Book of Mormon again, and for clarity of expression and depth (and power) of doctrine, it cannot be exceeded, even by the New Testament.

(1) What do I like most about the LDS church? The Spirit that lives there. When you come to know the truth of the Church it is the most wonderful feeling. Within the ward or here on LDS net there is a Spirit that permeates all around. It's really not something you can explain you have to expierence it for yourself. And, also I love the Church because it has the restored gospel. That makes all the difference!!

(2) What is your favourite book , passage , part of Mormon scripture (old and new testament and beyond ?) I love the promise in Moroni Chpt. 10:3-7 and all the Nephi 's. Psalm 23 and 51 are beautiful. Book of Abraham...

(3) Who is my favourite person of the Church? Joseph Smith of course for he was Heavenly Fathers vehicle to restore the truth to earth. Also, I love the fifth President of our Church , Lorenzo Snow. There are so many powerful people in LDS history it's hard to choose..

That it is as it claims to be, the Church of Jesus Christ of old with the power and authority (Priesthood) restored. I'm not trying to be cute. Its just that is what I like most about it, other aspects are nice but a lot of them are found in other churches (social aspects, great teachers, programs/charity and the like).

Book has got to be 3 Nephi, I think if only one Book from the Book of Mormon was to survive and all others vanish that would be the one. As far as a particular passage, it varies based on what my needs and desires happen to be over time. One of my favorite when I was reactivating was, for context the Savior is speaking here:

Assuming we exclude the Savior here () I tend to Identify a lot with Joseph Smith, what he did and what he went through. A close runner up is James E. Talmage (an Apostle), but mostly because of his book Jesus the Christ.

1}What do you like most about the LDS church ?

Everything. Most especially, the priesthood, personal revelation, prophets and their authority, and hope.

2}What is your favorite book, passage, part of Mormon scripture [the old, the new testaments and beyond]

The Book of Mormon...it led me to Christ. The Bible led me to God. D&C taught me doctrine and laws. POGP taught me history and love of God.

Fave scripture is Mosiah 4:9 (I'm quoting verse 10 just for added fun):

9 Believe in God; believe that he is, and that he created all things, both in heaven and in earth; believe that he has all wisdom, and all power, both in heaven and in earth; believe that man doth not comprehend all the things which the Lord can comprehend.

10 And again, believe that ye must repent of your sins and forsake them, and humble yourselves before God; and ask in sincerity of heart that he would forgive you; and now, if you believe all these things see that ye do them.

3} Who is your favorite peron of the church, [past, present or future]

Jesus. I also always love our current prophet. I'm just grateful to live in a generation that has the Gospel of Jesus Christ and can worship Him. I've been blessed by getting a witness of prophets and their importance to me and the world.

BTW, I even enjoy the things that annoy me or things I don't understand.

How can I learn anything if I am not challenged? How can I learn charity if I'm not asked to love people that annoy me? How can I learn wisdom if I know everything and have all the answers? How can I learn patience if I get everything I ask/want/need as soon as I ask/want/need?
