Lets hear it for the law profession
Because of rain I was unable to get into the fields yesterday, so I was forced inside and had to subject myself to television. Nearly every commercial during the morning hours were lawyers advising people to sue for a variety of ailments. The others were AARP (A front for the Democratic party) telling to sell us seniors something.
If I were a lawyer I would be embarrassed watching these guys. I say guys because all except for one were men. Must be hard chasing ambulances in high heels.

Yeh let's trash all attorneys. Every single one of them are nothing but greedy, evil scoundrels. Geez louise. I realize that there are many who are like that but not all. I hate when we stereotype.
My dad's best friend of 30 years was an attorney and is now a Federal Judge here in Utah. He also used to be a US attorney here in the state of Utah. Very respected by the attorney community. One of the most honorable men I know. My dad was a counselor to him when he was Bishop almost 30 years ago.
Also I happen to like the AARP organization. I've been to several of their conferences on the rights of us who are getting older. I get weekly emails from them that have some wonderful information. Okay you read it here. I have admitted I'm getting older.

Stereotypes are usually funniest when somebody we like doesn't fall under their umbrella.

In all fairness, I don't think the post was bashing all lawyers, just the many lawyers who encourage us to sue our employers.
I am also one who gets a little annoyed when stopped 10 times in one shopping trip in the city centre by 10 different sales men asking if I have had an accident recently. Quite frankly, if I had an accident, it was most likely my own fault. If my employer asked me to do something that was unreasonably dangerous, I should have made issue with it before I did it, not after.
I'm not part of todays sue culture I'm afraid. I'm fairly careful with money but I won't try and squeeze as much of it out of people as possible and I think it would be unfair to do so. So I do have to agree with the OP.

It was funny, I remember have a discussion online where the hypothetical was about tripping on a banks sidewalk and of course talk of suing people came up. Somehow or another the idea of simply demanding the bank fix the sidewalk came up (as opposed to suing them, and I imagine if you went to the bank with a broken sidewalk and said, "Fix it, somebody else would be suing you right now." they'd probably be inclined to do so, its cheaper than a lawsuit) and that idea being lambasted, you weren't having compassion (they won't fix the sidewalk unless you sue them and are causing others to trip) were morally deficient for not suing the pants off them and sucking them as dry as you could and then making them fix the sidewalk. The idea that you should watch out where you are walking (or simply sue them for any actual damages incurred) didn't seem to be a popular one, though I think this was compounded by the screw the big guy (aka bank) mentality with a little win the jackpot mentality on the side, I don't think the reaction had it been a home owner's front step would have been quite so vehement.
Some people have funny ideas.

Oh my. You really do not understand – women do not wear high heels to chase after anything. They wear high heels so that they will be the one’s chased after and to ensure, encourage and let the chasers know that they will be caught.
