Talking A Song Remembers When...

Ok so songs mean so much to me and they even sometimes touch me with the spirit even when nothing else can. So I am wondering... what song does that for you?

For me... There are way too many to list...

But I like Dairymans Daughter by Michael Mclean (actually I like all of his music) But this song always helps me to remember that my Heavenly Father plays an important role in my life... and I just need to remember what I am supposed to do.... and the end of the song ALWAYS gets me.

I know my Heavenly Father hears my prayers because when I hear this song I feel the spirit so strongly... infact, it has become the lullaby that I sing my girls to sleep with. I play it when I pray and the spirit flows.

Another one is his Ninety and Nine. YouTube - Michael McLean one of the ninety and nine

I was lucky enough to meet him in person once and dance with him ... perhaps that is why his music touches me so?

As far as meaningful songs go, one of my favorites is Stolen Child by Loreena McKennitt. It's a fresh reminder that there is a great deal of beauty in the world despite the chaos and heartache that we see so often.

I'm also quite fond of Before You Die by Bad Religion. It's about making the most of this life and not letting our intellect go to waste.

its one of the reasons i LOVE country music....the majority of it applies to alot of us, songs that remind you of good times and broken hearts, first loves and family. Granted about half of it is drinking and cheatin songs... But alot of it hits home...and if you are in a broken heart stage of your life...every song hits home...or if you are in the start of a new realtionship, the beginings of falling in love..they all fit there too....
