Default e-waste in Guiyu

When you throw that old mobile/cell phone, or keyboard into the recycling bin, did you ever wonder where it went from there and what happened to it?

I caught part of that reality TV show, Amazing Race, and the couples went to a town where they were breaking down keyboards and other electronic discards. Unbelievable all that waste.

I work in one of the high-tech manufacturing companies left with offices in the US. We've been spending millions on making our stuff "ROHS" (removal of hazardous substances) compliant. Basically, taking all the lead out of the stuff we make.

That would be the sweetest thing of all.
