Post An Interesting Article on Halloween

As the 31st of October is traditionally the day that Halloween is celebrated, I thought that you might find this article that I came across in the Deseret News this morning of interest. The link to the story is Deseret News | How faiths unmask Halloween.

I need Him every hour of my life. It is He who leads, guides, and sustains me. Apart from Him, I can do absolutely nothing. He is my Rock, my Lord, my Savior, the Pilot of my ship and the Captain of my soul. If He were to ask me, "Whom say ye that I am?" I would humbly reply, THOU ART THE CHRIST!

I've become more reticent about Halloween because I believe there is such a thing as witchcraft, because the spirit realm is as real as the material, and I would want all that I do to point folk toward Jesus, rather than anything even slightly demonic.

So...as I passed the treats out, I gave the very traditional Christian greeting of "God bless you." Some looked uncomprehending at me. One group of African American girls didn't miss a heartbeat, saying back, "God bless you too."
