Depends on the psychic, I suppose.

Why not? The psychic could be very handsome...

Soul_Searcher you have every right to do what you feel is best for you. I'm curious though. What does Rob think about it? Is he okay with you going that route?

Agreed, if you go, you need to have your husband's awareness and approval. No point in causing a family disagreement over something that may or may not be correct in the first place.

She needs her husband's awareness and approval to see a psychic? If I'm understanding you correctly, why?

I've never gotten the impression from reading about Hannah that she was of menopausal age. I always thought she was still young enough, she was just barren at the time. She eventually had a total of 5 children.

Come on, Maureen! Don't ruin my joke with truth.

I could be interpreting the scriptures wrong on that. For some reason, I always thought Hannah was an older woman.

God's Word has a lot to say about consulting spirits--and none of it is positive...
I think the reason He speaks so strongly about it, in a negative way, is because it causes us to seek wisdom from other avenues and He says that HE wants our allegiance. Sometimes it's very hard to "wait on the Lord" because He answer doesn't seem to be coming fast enough, or it's not the answer that we want. But if we seek wisdom from another source...our God is a jealous God. He wants us to be faithful to Him alone. I also believe it's not wise because it can open the door to the spirit world/occult. I believe that Satan is real and powerful, and not a force to be messed with.

I think she is meaning it more to keep peace in the family. Perhaps her husband wouldn't approve of seeking someone like a psychic. Some are against it.
