Accounts with no profile

I thought I would post this here in general as this will be seen by the majority of people.

Have you ever noticed that your account doesn't have a profile? Let me explain why. At one point you would have been sent an email with a link to validate your account. This is to validate that the email you provided is in fact valid. After a time if you have not responded then it deletes itself. You are still able to post on the forums as that is driven by a different program than profiles, chat, etc.

I have sent out approximately 7-8 emails (emails we have on file) to people who do not have a profile in the hopes of validating their email address. I have received no responses.

Now, as a moderating team, we feel it important that all who have registered also have a profile. Being able to send private messages etc is important in the moderating process. This is to give public notice that any accounts not having a profile will be deleted.

If you are one of the few that fall into this category, please use the "contact us" option in the bottom right of the pages. I receive these and will handle them as they come in.

maybe that should be required before being allowed to post. many boards I am on require it.
