Default Wilfred Woodruff, Robert Mason

I just watched a program from an LDS video called, "The Great Apostasy". Why do they make me cry and feel so emotional? I do so understand their need to see Heavenly Father's church on earth again.

Mr Woodruff was baptised in the winter in a cold creek, yikes, I can't even imagine it! My baptisim was in water that was so warm, I started looking for my rubber ducky.
Sorry, no please, no impertinence intended. I just see things strangely at times.

When I first re-activated back into the church after a 30 year absence, so many of the talks during Sacrament made me cry. I couldn't sit through conference either- the tears would flow and I would miss parts of the talks. It was better to wait and watch the tape. At least then I could pause, let the tears stop and then start the tape again.

I was totally at a loss as to what was happening. When I went to visit my family, the same thing happened during sacrament at their ward. My sister hugged me and said, That is the Holy Ghost testifying to you of the truth and righteousness of what is being said.

I couldn't even look at a picture of Gordon B. Hinckley, or any of the prophets without the tears flowing.

So, Hala, me thinks that the Holy Ghost is testifying to you. Embrace the feeling, depend on it for future guidance. Heed it. When you are feeling the opposite of it, heed that too- get yourself out of or away from, or cease what you are doing.

After the pain I lived before, when I became Mormon, as time passed, there are many things that I suddenly felt a prohibition against. I do not want to provide fodder for the lurid story generator. I am living the life of a Mormon woman in a house where people drink and smoke pot, and it is vexing for me. It has been my hope that the life I live would somehow give them some curiosity about it.

I have been open to moving, and as soon as Heavenly Father shows me a way to do it, I am ready to move. I do my utmost to honor Heavenly Father in all that I do.

My dad was baptized in a lake in Alaska that had ice around the edges.

He said he didn't feel the cold of the water until after it was over.
