Default Co-worker conversation just now

Steve: Hey, Vort, do you know much about movies?

Vort: Not really. (Goes to Steve's desk)

Steve: I'm looking at this actress here (shows browser image). She was in Vertigo and a bunch of other movies, and I'm trying to remember her name.

Vort: (Looks at image of actress and sees popup text that says, "Kim Novak in Vertigo") Uh, Kim Novak?

Steve: Yeah, that's her! You're on it, Vort!
And thus my legend lives on.

I have to confess I love it when stuff like that happens. For my brief stint in the mission office everyone was convinced I was an MS Office genius, the source of my knowledge? F1. It's amazing how many people can sit there and watch you look through the documentation and be impressed at how much you 'know'.

Why think for myself when I can get someone else to do it for free?

Today, my cow-orker got a phone call about a fax we never received. Sally said, "Can you scan it and email to me?" So, caller scanned and emailed the document to Sally. Sally replied to the email to say that we had received the document. Sally then got another scan from the caller. This time, the caller scanned a piece of paper that had a handwritten message: "Thank you, Sally! I appreciate your help." I don't think it was in crayon, but I could be wrong on that.....

Reminds me of working tech support. User got some long error message, so I asked him to email it to me next time it popped up.

Silly me, I expected text, not a truecolor TIFF over dialup, at fullscreen resolution.

I am super smart and know a ton of useless and important information... as long as I have the internet. I was on a scout camp this week and didnt have cell service. It was fine until I wanted to prove someone wrong about several items... but I couldnt! Not without my large brain the internet

I must admit though, I am very good at findign what I need. Is that a skill I can put on a resume? Or do I simply put that I am as smart as billions of people put together?
