What are you all doing for Thanksgiving? We're going to my brother's house a couple hours away and I'm going to bring the green bean casserole, homemade cranberry sauce, a salad with ham, apple, cheese, baby spinach, and balsamic vinaigrette dressing, and I'm going to make "Sweet Acorns" (mini nilla wafers with Hershey Kisses stuck to them with chocolate frosting). I'm so excited! We're also going to do White Elephant like we do every year.

We are staying home and everyone is coming to our house. Probably spend the morning putting up Christmas lights, watch some football and pig out.
That salad sounds pretty good MorningStar.

I tried the salad out last night and it was pretty yummy! I had something like it at a ward Christmas party years ago and I had to try to duplicate it.

Sounds like you have a fun day planned!

I thought I'd be home for Thanksgiving, but I won't. My hubby and kids will have the traditional fare and I get more hospital food.

Is this because you're hospitalized or because you'll be working?

Everyone comes to my house for the holidays. It's fun! I'll be cooking a ton and so will my friends. We kind of do a potluck Thanksgiving so that no one person spends all day in the kitchen. My in laws are coming as well so it should be fun.

I've been in the hospital since Sunday night. I haven't worked in almost 2 weeks.

Going to M&D for lunch. Hunting in the morning w/ the kids. Tradition thing.

Dr Mom I'll be thinking of you when turkey day rolls around. Hospital food is not edible!!!

It takes a disciplined person to listen to convictions which are different from their own. ~ Dorothy Fuldheim

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, “Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?” Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
