Can't stop E-mail notifications
HELP!
I'm getting E-mail notifications from the Questions only! thread. I've gone to the subscriptions page and set the notifications to "No E-mail notifications" but the status of that thread on my subscription list remains at "Instant." I tried deleting it but it absolutely will not go away. I was able to successfully disable E-mail notifications of other threads, but for some reason this one is being difficult. If there's an Admin who can get in there and fix it, please do!

I still have this problem with the "In need of some clean humor" thread, I have had problems with it since I first posted in that thread. Like Unixknight I have tried everything I can think of to get rid of it, but it will not go away.

On the emails that you get does it give you the option to unsubscribe?

Yes, but when I use it I get an error page that says "An invalid threadid or forumid was specified."

Same answer as Unixknight, it gives the option but when I follow the link it gives me an error.

If you can't work with it, work around it
If your e-mail provider is any good, they will have filters you can set in place. The easiest way is to block all e-mails coming from this forum.
If that isn't the desired goal, then you can set up phrase filters. In this case, you'd probably block all e-mails that have $thread_title in the subject line.

I have this trouble too. Drives me nuts. I still get emails for threads I haven't posted on in forever. And I have unsubscribed.

I took Mahone's advice and created a filter for it. Now any e-mails regarding the thread "In need of some clean humor" will be automatically deleted. That includes the most recent post made by Pam. Yay for having something to deal with all those posts.

Yes Pam, I am sorry but I must admit that I filtered the constant barrage of posts that come from the clean humor thread. I know that most of them are yours so I do ask for your forgiveness on the matter. But they were driving me insane!!
