Default How do I get into the chat room?

I'm brand new on this site. I am currently logged in but it wont let me get in the chatroom. It just keeps asking me to log in. I must not be that good with computers.

Hmm, how are you trying to get into chat? List for me the steps you are taking to enter chat.

It's probably because your account hasn't been validated yet. You should have received an email to the email addy you provided when you registered.

Semi-related question: How do you private chat?

I just got an invite, when I accepted my browser hiccuped. Long story short I was just going to reciprocate the invite but found out I didn't know how. My guess is the "Friends" pop-up on the footer bar but mine is empty despite my having friends on my profile.
