I found this site doing a search and I probably would have just passed through; but, then I read a post about sharing testimonies.
I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint all my life (my parents converted before I was born) and I believe in this gospel. It brings peace and joy to my life; however, I have not been good about at sharing this knowledge with others. May be I can work on that here.
I am looking forward to a forum for discussing gospel topics (I am currently a CTR 5 teacher so I am missing Sunday School and RS.)
thank you so much for a warm welcome!
(oh, and a BIG thank you to the web designer!)

Thanks!
Thank you for your welcome comments Mailis, susieSA, and HiJolly.
I look forward to getting to know you all better.
I recently asked my mother to tell me the story of her conversion. My parents families are both anti-mormon. It was a difficult decision for my parents to join the church. I am so grateful for the sacrifice they made.

Welcome!
How did they come to the church? were they together/joined as a couple with knowlege they would have no support from parents. You are lucky.
Think that it is great to hear kids appreciate their parents work and sacrafice.
Wonderful and inspiring to hear.

My parents were a young married couple (two children and one on the way) when they joined the church. My dad thought my mom was going to divorce him when he told her he wanted to join the church. She surprised him by saying "its about time!" That was over 50 years ago.
My father's brother is a minister. To this day, when my parents talk to their family, the conversations are dominated by their siblings trying to convince them they made the wrong choice.
