I know, maybe I'm overplanning , but after the New Testament challenge, there'll be enough time left in 2009 to do the OT in 100 days. Anyone interested?

Just let me know the reading schedule that you come up with so when the time comes I can make up the forum for it.

Hey still not too late for anyone that wants to join us in the current reading challenge. We're only on the 2nd day and it's been interesting reading the responses that people have posted concerning what they have read.

I know you're already doing a lot, but could we also have forums for the NT in 40 days challenge next month, pretty please with your choice of unhealthy tasty bribe?

Absolutely. Do you have a schedule for that? No rush as we just started a challenge.

You can count me in on the Old Testament Reading Challenge as well. Great ideal!

I need Him every hour of my life. It is He who leads, guides, and sustains me. Apart from Him, I can do absolutely nothing. He is my Rock, my Lord, my Savior, the Pilot of my ship and the Captain of my soul. If He were to ask me, "Whom say ye that I am?" I would humbly reply, THOU ART THE CHRIST!

I'll pull the OT schedule together sometime in the next 78 days . (Most likely within a week or two. I like lots of lead time.) I found a 40-day schedule for the NT on some Protestant church's site, but I'm not sure I really like it. May do some tweaking over the next few weeks.
Hope no one finds my doing them in Excel annoying, for me it's the simplest approach.

Sorry Keith...I didn't think that when I changed the name of the 40 day challenge to be more specific in what books we were currently doing it would change the url.

I just wanted to say thanks for those following along with us and to those that are posting with us. I am really learning a lot this time around. Things I hadn't realized before.
I mentioned in a posting on one of the days how sad I was when I read the words that Nephi had passed away. I know I know..we knew it was to happen. But this is the first time I've felt such a closeness to Nephi that I've never felt before. I can't even begin to describe the feelings that I have felt towards Nephi.
It's been a mixed blessing of feelings as I've gone through with this challenge.
Many of us have stated that we can feel the adversary pulling at us as we read. We find ourselves more tired, unable at times to keep up with it. The words at times becoming a blur.
Yet at the same time, I am finding my day just isn't complete if I DON'T read the assignment for the day.
I am truly line up line (as I read) gaining a testimony I thought I had but realized I didn't truly have of the power of scripture reading.
