The tigers were in Asia, the lions in Africa and nether were affected by the flood of Noahs "world" the same way the Alexander the Great conquered the "world" even though his kingdom was only in 3 of the 7 continents and just a small portion of them at that.

Maybe God caused them to hibernate?

It seems I remember reading something somewhere that the carnivores were changed during their sojurn on the ark and ate grain.

I'll see if I can look it up.

Or, what if the entire ark was a starship that once afloat placed the crew and cargo into hyperstasis and spirited them away to another planet where the Tigress and Euphrates Rivers were located in Mesopotamia.

Sometimes my apologetic skills astound me.

If anyone has ever learned to ask questions - one of the first things they will learn is that the Biblical narrative is not complete. So then next question for those that dare to ask questions of G-d; where can we go for answers. (James 1:5)

What I am trying to figure out is why he gives different answers to people in different religions asking the same question???

I think it would be an interesting experiment to try and build and ark. Load it with supplies and animals, float it and try to maintain it for the necessary period of time.
