Default How often can we ask for priesthood blessings?

I've got a variety of illnesses and situations going on right now, including Asperger's, Epilepsy, depression/anxiety,and more.

Sometimes I feel I can't survive without another blessing but at the same time I feel like I'm always asking for one.

You can ask for a Priesthood Blessing as much as the Holy Ghost prompts you*. If you are concerned about bugging people just keep a rotation going. Start with your Home Teachers and then work down according to who you know the most. Try to make it so you only ask the same person once every two weeks and let them set the times they come over.

*When you have a desire

You can always put your name in at the closest temple to you. Every two weeks is as often as they will take names.

The Temple Prayer Roll is as powerful if not more so than personal priesthood blessings.

To your question, as often as you desire them. Uhura, you can't get a blessing unless you ASK for one.

One question if I may - are you praying personally too? When I was at my lowest, I found that not only were the priesthood blessings bring me strength, so were the Temple prayers and my own personal daily/evening prayers.

Thank you.
I have asked the bishop for new hometeachers but haven't gotten any yet. I can't talk to mine. My bishop is out of town. There is one person I might call. So it is ok to have a blessing a couple times a month?

I am praying but still struggling.

Sister, you can ask for a blessing as much as you desire. The brethren you ask will look at it like a blessing on them as well. I thought you were thinking twice a week and that would have been just fine. If you need two a month you can ask the same brethren or change it up.

That was also wonderful advice to put your name on the Temple Prayer Roll and say more personal prayers.

I also said a prayer for you, god bless.

I just don't feel comfortable calling the temple. I am not endowed and just feel it is best if someone who is endowed calls.

The Temple prayer rolls are for all of Gods children, not just endowed members of the church. Not just for Mormon's either. But for ALL of His children in the world.

For the 30 years I was inactive and married to a non-member, my mother and siblings put our names on the Temple Rolls. My dearest friend called my name in every two weeks.

I have called in names for people I love and care about who are not LDS.

When you call, you just say you want to put a name on the Temple Prayer Roll. The person will ask you for the name. Sometimes they ask for you to spell it. Then this person will say Thank you, that the name is now added and will be on the Prayer Roll for 2 weeks.

In all the times I have called, I have never been asked for my name, or my membership number.

Call your name in. Write it down on your calendar. Know that God loves you, unconditionally, you are His child. I too will keep you in my prayers.
