Default Bonneville

Faced with the decision of a lifetime Arvilla Holden (Jessica Lange) hijacks her two best friends (Kathy Bates Joan Allen) and sets off in a vintage '66 Bonneville convertible across the great American West to deliver her husbands ashes to her step-daughter. What begins as a simple trip will end up becoming a chance to rediscover themselves their friendship the importance of promises - and of living life to the fullest.

Bonneville could be deemed a chick flick probably likened to a Mormon version of 'Thelma and Louise". This is a great movie for women - full of spontaneity and compassion. It shows a unique side of the mature and wise women of the senior world. All played by well known actresses and actors, Kathy Bates did a marvelous job playing Margene. They could not have found a better actress for that character.

Thumbs up

The thing I really liked about this movie is that the characters were Mormons, acted like real Mormons (not Mormon stereotypes), and the movie let the chips fall where they may. No propaganda -- pro or anti -- just an enjoyable story.

I loved this movie. My husband enjoyed it too even though its a "chick flick."

I slept through almost all of this movie, but 2 of my roommates who endured the whole thing assured me I was better off catching up on sleep.
