It did not give me every answer
It did not leave me to myself
Instead you led to living water
Where I drank straight from the well
I was not one among the thousands
To partake of fish and bread
The miracle transcends the pages
And somehow I am fed
And it poured from heaven’s fountain
I drank it up as it poured down
And I ate the bread of life
Like manna falling from the sky
And somehow in the pages I have found
Heavens fountain
From burning bush to parted waters
From Bethlehem to Calvary
The blood of lambs on ancient altars
Lead to Gethsemane
Where it flows from heaven’s fountain
I’ll drink it up as it pours down
I’ll eat the bread of life
Like manna falling from the sky
And somehow in the pages I have found
It’s so much more than stories of sinners and sages
And it’s more than just some ancient history
It’s the miracle that made it through the ages
And now I’ll read its pages
It speaks to me
Let it flow from heaven’s fountain
I’ll drink it up as it pours down
I’ll eat the bread of life
Like manna falling from the sky
And somehow in those pages I have found
Somehow in those pages I have found
Heaven’s fountain

“Perhaps the greatest charity comes when we are kind to each other, when we don’t judge or categorize someone else, when we simply give each other the benefit of the doubt or remain quiet. Charity is accepting someone’s differences, weaknesses, and shortcomings; having patience with someone who has let us down; or resisting the impulse to become offended when someone doesn’t handle something the way we might have hoped." Elder Marvin J. Ashton
