It would be great if there was a simple youtube vBulletin code, it would be great for the youtube forum. For example...

showing the actual video instead of only being able to link to it.

blog stats. At the very least some way to tell how many hits your blog is getting. Are these things posted anywhere else besides lds.net?

Personally I am glad it's only a link. If someone were to post something completely inappropriate at least others going to that thread won't have it blasted in their face.

alternating header images. perhaps a different temple in each background . Here's a suggestion for one:
though you'll have to get del parson's permission (maybe you have it already, i nicked Christ from the jesus.christ.org site.) I nicked the temple picture from LDS Temples - Mormon Temples - Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
forgive the roughness of the image

Reason: made a quick update to header image.

Messing around
Mike, here is my attempt to bring more atmosphere to the background. Yet there still needs to be a bridge between Christ and the temple visually. I dont know maybe not.

Maybe a flying saucer? I don't know. It looks beautiful to me, Chris. Jesus looks like a true Californian in the banner, doesn't he?

I actually prefer the banner we have. Mark Mabry does such excellent work. I LOVE his work.

I had no intention to top Mark Mabry, but anyone able to do figures like that where it appears there are people dressed in robes standing infront of a green screen while wind is blowing and put that all in by hand blows me out of the water. My hands are so shaky it would take me a while to make the lines on their faces sharp let alone the folds and detailing of their garments.

as far as color suggestions go, i create all of my palettes for websites at COLOURlovers :: Color Trends + Palettes. They have a multitude of color palettes there, and palette creation tools (involving great tools for easy color matching in a palette.)
