Hi Guys, I've been pretty busy lately updating the site, and I haven't had a chance to really go through and improve the link section. So why not give an incentive for you to submit links? I will send a $15 gift card to Deseretbook.com to the person who submits the most LDS links. (I will make it $15 to any LDS related site, even amazon, if you promise to buy an LDS book/music with it )

Here's the rules: Each link you submit must include the following:

1 - The official name of the site (1-4 words usually)
2 - The URL to the main page of the site
3 - Placed in a fitting category
4 - At least a 7 word description
5 - A logo from the site
6 - Be LDS related and get approval from a admin/mod (I will be going through and approving links daily)


The person who submits the most links by 2pm MST on Sept 18th 2005 will receive the Gift Card. The winning member must submit at least 30 links. If no one submits at least 30 links, then I get the giftcard

-- How to get the logo from an LDS site:
- Right click on the image on the site you wish to use as the logo. Try and find a small version of the logo if possible.
- Click "Save image as" or "Save picture as"
- Save it somewhere you can find it
- Click on browse when you're putting in links
- Select the image you just downloaded. It will automatically resize it for you.

You know, it would also help if you reduced the number of links. A lot of those probably aren't going to be filled anytime soon with anything and rather than have people wade through a bunch of forums just to see one link, it might be easier for most of those links to just be able to be submitted under "General." At the very least, it should be skimmed down. Also put a "Games" link up for those of us that have found interesting games and such that are "free" to play online. Simple games that can waste a good 5 or 10 minutes before going to church or 3 hours if you get into them type of games.

I'm fine with that. I don't mind merging categories that aren't used, although right now, none of them are, so kind of hard to tell what is actually going to be popular.

Games seem to be a little bit off target for this site. I usually just go to msn game zone myself.

Not stupid games, but interesting, downloadable games. Original games. Well whatever, if I find one I'll put em in the general category for now.

I was thinking along the lines of links such as LDS Culture (lots can go in here), a general link page, the member home pages is a nice touch but do you really want see MY home page, humor is a good idea also as it will keep people from posting that stuff in the general forums. That's all I can think of right now. Maybe something called media too. That can include books, magazines, movies, and of course, games.

I agree. A lot of the categories can be lumped together to form subcategories. I acutally copied most of the format from another site.

Heh, plagarism. And yet you're asking us to submit content by linking back to the original author who made the content while you sit, all high and mighty, taking the format from someone else, and not giving credit.
