Its rather spooky that these boxes come up in the wrong place. Almost like Satan has abandoned hanging out in the water (despite it still being summer) and has moved on to confound the drop down boxes.

I'm sorry to say, this new version does not work well with the iPhone which is driving me crazy. The menu bar blocks the bottom of the screen - usually where the post reply button is. And fir some reason I cannot scroll up or down anymore. So, like posting this, I had to quote somebody (find a visible quote), delete all the quoted lines and type my 2 cents. But then the submit button is hidden by the menu bar too without a way to scroll to it, so I had to touch Next so many times until the bottom controls get focus so that the submit button gets "freed" from behind the menu bar. Can we have the option to hide the menu bar? Or a choice to use the old version?

Heather, Since the site is free I love it. Change is often hard to handle, learn new things etc.

I am still trying to get over not using my VHS recorder and using a DVR.

Just kidding

I also posted this in another thread:

I don't know if there is an option in the forums personal settings somewhere to switch it off, I had a quick look but couldn't find anything straight away. But for those who it is really annoying, you can either use your browsers, routers or third party addons to your browser to block this web address: http://www.lds.net/footerbar/footerbar.php (I personally placed it into a third party ad-block addon in firefox to do it).

Once that is blocked, bye bye footerbar

Thanks for the feedback. We're looking into all of this. As a previous poster already stated, please include the operating system you are using and your internet browser and browser version when reporting a problem. Thanks!

No new problems; the only one I'm experiencing is the drop-down problem that's been mentioned before. I'm using Internet Explorer on Windows XP.

BTW, all these new features are growing on me really fast... Thanks for the revamp! Me likey.

I am also a drop-downer complainer. Additionally, when I click on someone's name, say to see all his/her posts, most of the time nothing shows up.

Edit: I'm using Vista IE.

Windows XP, IE 6.0.2900. The upgrade sucks for this combo.

1) No scroll bar on the side, and so, unless I have a roll button on the mouse, it is hard to navigagte a page.
2) Page is not active unless clicked upon. Keyboard shortcuts such as page down, end, or home do not work. Alt < does not take me back unless I press it twice.
3) Drop down menu doesn't show up when clicking on a users name. I can't get a lits of all of a persons post for the life of me! That is very frustrating.
4) Is there some good reason for preventing selection of text? Why is the body of a post rendered as something that I cannot select or highlight? It's not like I can't copy it when quoting to reply. A major PIA for me as I use highlighting of lines to assist reading and mark important thoughts.

Making any changes (like the footer and loss of V scroll bar) mandatory is not a good idea IMO. Making them default might be ok, but you'll win a lot more praise for making bells and whistles optional.

BTW, I like having the laugh button available in more places.
