I've received a few messages that some of you are having a few minor problems with the chat room, including random bootings. The only common thing I have found with this is that those who are experiencing it are using internet explorer. I only use mozilla firefox as a web browser, and personally I really love it. My favorite feature is being able to block all popups. I recently installed it with the google toolbar. I like the toolbar because I can search with google, without having to go to google.com, and I can spell check any page form on any webpage. (No more copy and paste into word!) It also has a page rank feature, so I can keep up to date on how LDS Talk is doing. I've added a sponsor link at the top of the page, so you can download it directly from the site if you're interested.

I like using the sponsor links to get the funds to run the site, rather than seeking private donations from the users. Google ads are working out so much better than the ads I use to run, because the sponsors are targeted to the users.

If ever you do find that the google ads are advertising a site that is not up to LDS Talk standards, please let me know. (Sometime anti-LDS sites have shown up, because they are using relevant keywords.) I know having the ads can sometimes be annoying, but it's the best way that I've found to keep the site free. I really appreciate all of the users who are helping to keep the site running. Please only visit those sponsors who you are interested in seeing their website, as I don't think it's fair for someone to pay for advertising and receive fake clicks.

Get real, Crazy Horse...what kind of a stupid question is that. This is why mother always liked me best. Lol!

Actually, I prefer Netscape 7.2 (you have to go to their archived downloads page to find it). It also has a built in popup blocker, but it is way faster than the other browsers out there. Plus, it just 'feels' better.

Glad to hear it. I hope this version makes it so those who were having problems logging into the Java Chat can join in now.

Heather,

I have two questions:

1. Do you work for Google (or get a commission for signing people up for the tool bar?) :P

2. Does the Google toolbar slow you computer down at all?

1 - Nope, I don't work for Google, but I do use their adsense program. Yes, I get paid anytime someone downloads and installs the toolbar on a new computer.

2 - I've never noticed it slowing it down. I like it because of the spell check and the page rank feature (lets me know how my sites are doing.)
