We need your help; what you can do to help LDS.Net
I've had a few messages from people expressing their thankfulness for LDS.net, and wondering if there was anything they could do to help the site and it's progression. There have also been a few wondering about donations. Funding helps us tremendously, so we can pay for servers, bandwidth, domains, day to day operations, etc. If you are so inclined, there is a "Donate" button at the top right of every page, or click here: Donate :: More Good Foundation. Every amount truly does help and is very appreciated.
If you are not in a position to donate, know that just by being a member of the site, you're helping us progress to the number one place on the web for people to talk and learn what Mormon's believe.
Here are some things you can do to help:
1 - Post your testimony ( Testimonies » Mormon LDS Network: Mormon Chat, Forums, Beliefs, Blogs) and let others know what it is you believe in.
2 - Make a daily or weekly blog entry. Let us know how being Mormon affects your life; or if you're not Mormon, let us know what you have learned, and what your beliefs and thoughts are. ( Blogs » Mormon LDS Network: Mormon Chat, Forums, Beliefs, Blogs)
3 - Submit interesting News Articles so we can build up our links and interest in our site and other uplifting sites. ( Mormon LDS Network: Mormon Chat, Forums, Beliefs, Blogs)
4 - Join a group or create your own ( Groups » Mormon LDS Network: Mormon Chat, Forums, Beliefs, Blogs)
5 - Upload some great photos and help keep the gallery section organized ( Gallery » Mormon LDS Network: Mormon Chat, Forums, Beliefs, Blogs)
In Feb we had over 1000 new members join! I'm really excited to see how the site is growing and how wonderful our members are. Keep up the great work!

How do I start a group or forum. I have researched alot about depression and would love to interact with others who battle this. There are tons of church articles and BYU brodcasting has alot and books from church members too. I have lots to learn and lots to share.

Hi crytsprospect,
If you go to Groups (or click here: Groups » Mormon LDS Network: Mormon Chat, Forums, Beliefs, Blogs) you will see a list of categories. On the bottom right, there is a link to Create A Group.
Then you can choose the best category for it, and decide other features for your group. Let me know if you have any questions. It sounds like a great idea for a support group.

Is chatting off and on all day every day helpful? LOL! I sure hope so!
All kidding aside, I will try to be more diligent with my blog.

i hope i'm not being presumptious in answering this. lol but chatting does help if... (i'm not directing this at you girly, just chat in general) those who are there try to represent themselves well. not saying all that can be discussed is church stuff, we need a place to chill and have fun. but childish bickering doesn't represent us as church members very well.
some ppl prefer to have a rapid conversation to get their questions answered vs the forums which take more time. we do get non members who are comming to see who we are, we also get new members who may be looking for other members to chat with. how we greet them and the topic of discussion is important to how they feel. anyone that has spent any time in chat knows that subject and personal attitude can change the atmosphere very quickly. let's make it one to be proud of.
also we don't have mods in the chat 24/7 and sometimes things happen we aren't aware of. if there is someone causing trouble or making chat unpleasent it is helpful if you not only report to a mod the person and the issue but to include a copy of a peice of the chat log so that we can see exactly what was being said. then if something does need imediate attention it can be adressed quickly making it a better place for all.

For all our newer forum members:
Please continue to contribute. I just added a new video to my profile.
Also if you so feel inclined, please share your testimony of the Book of Mormon:
