I think I might join the Mormon Church
I put this in the general discussion board. It might fit here too if not remove it thanks
I drive to work everyday and cry when I hear the Mormon commericals on the radio and am brought to tears when seeing them on TV. I am a lonely girl looking for more in my life and I think that after reading the book of mormon (which I got free from a commerical) that the Mormon church will fullful me in ways I never knew!
I would love your comments
Also do you know where I can find wonderful testimonies (the videos) and more commericals online!
I think tomorrow I will try to go to the Mormon church. I heard Mormon.org is the place to find a lot of information so I will go there. I'm new to this so please don't laugh
I would love to make some internet friends on my journey
Also I hope this is a good place to put this thread otherwise please move it to a approprate one

Welcome to the forums. This is a great place to make friends and learn a lot about what we believe in. There's a video section on this site that has many uplifting videos from many members, church leaders and also high profile figures. You might also try posting in the Relief Society section of this forum and associate with the wonderful sisters that participate here. Best wishes!

Welcome - I hope you have questions, comments or just would like to interact with us here online. I am also a convert to the church and I also called for the book and the video and it changed my life. I found a beautiful girl to marry and we have 4 gorgeous kids (my bias, of course). Thisis my 9th year and going strong.
Please do not ignore the promptings of the Spirit. It is leading you and it is moving you. You must recognize it is something foreign and beyond you. Follow those promptings and explore the fellowship of the Saints. You will realize the you have found your home.
We love you and hope to hear from you soon.

Welcome and feel free to ask any questions or express concerns you may have. There are plenty of knowledgeable people here willing to help you, or just be your friend. You have my regards.

Hi Hannah, it's good to meet you. I am a convert and this church has changed my life. It helps guide me through this crazy life. I was converted by the Book of Mormon. It truly is a new testament of Christ. I joined the church because if felt like the right thing to do. My testimony grew later as I studied and prayed more.
I would encourage anyone not to join the church because of the social programs or because of the friendly people. Join the church because the spirit testifies to you that it is true and the right thing to do.
You asked about wonderful testimonies. Well, tomorrow is fast Sunday. That is the day the members of the church, if moved by the spirit, bear their testimonies in front of the congregation. This happens on the first Sunday of every month. You will have the opportunity to listen to wonderful testimonies in person. I'm sure you will feel the spirit there. And the missionaries will be there for you to meet. They have wonderful lessons to help you learn and to grow in the gospel. You will learn so much from them.
Keep in touch with us here too. We would love to hear how you are doing!!!!
Your brother in the gospel.

That is so funny.. because that is what happened to my wife. She was just baptized last Saturday (7/5)
12 weeks ago she saw a commercial on TV and order the DVD and the Book of Mormon. She said that they had always affected her and she too would cry. (and she hasn't stopped)
The DVD's touched her so much.. and she has received her own testimony about the Book of Mormon. It was so fun to watch her go from knowing nothing.. to becoming a member of the Church. We would talk for hours and she would ask lots of questions.
BTW.. we were married one week before she was baptized. So don't hesitate about the questions... cause the answers will help you to understand what to pray about.
Enjoy!!

What's up Hannah? It's great that you're taking the initiative to seek out something better for your life, and I assure you that you'll find it as you study and pray to know if this church is true and right for you. Did you get a chance to go to church last Sunday or talk with any missionaries? Good luck with everything, and keep us posted.

I just love the commercials. They always choke me up too....especially when I was pregnant. I'd have to change the channel or else I'd start to sob.
