Cool Ok, So I walked into the book Store....

And Realized that I could barely afford the Bible.... I bought it anyways because I wanted to have it, and to be able to read more of it.,.. I got one of those cool little bags too.. I also got a Choose the Right Ring.. to help me to remember my choice. and my path.

Anyhow.... I'm just surprised at how expensive this stuff is, but maybe I'm just not used to buying books....

Zach

The only thing is...if taken care of your Bible will last a lifetime. So think of it more as an investment than an expense.

What flavor Bible did you buy? Did you get it at a used book store? The Bible is free on-line too in a number of versions. Just thought I'd tell u.

So you bought what's called a quad. That's awesome. You will enjoy it.

I bought my LDS works at the DI in SLC. It was white, leather bound, and inexpensive.

I sympathize with the OP. I just bought a new quad a couple of months ago (two reasons: needed larger print to accommodate eyesight, and it was my fifteenth baptism anniversary), and spent over $60 for it. I reminded myself I had plenty of reason to lay out that money, and that I was investing in my spiritual growth.

Of course, bookstores are dangerous territory for my wallet. DH cringes when I walk into a bookstore (especially Deseret Book) with anything negotiable (cash, checkbook, debit card...) in my possession. I always spend too much there. (sigh)

I too just recently bought a new quad at DB. Larger print as well. I know here come the ages jokes again...but luckily there was a misprint in the ad in the newspaper and they had to honor it. I got mine for less than $40.

I'm not so much complaining about the price of it, but I am surprised that they don't have a cheaper quad for us young and not so Well of young Adults.... The only reason I was able to splurge this month is because my birthday is this month and my dad always Gives me money for my birthday....

There are bargains available for the budget-minded, if you spend some time looking.

Ohhh....
