Default Provo MTC/Manila Philippines MTC; immunizations

Hi all!! My friend and i just got our mission call. I will be serving in Philippines Davao Mission and she will be going to Hawaii, USA. Hence, I will be trained at the Manila Philippines MTC (Novemebr 7) while she will be trained at Provo MTC (December 1).

My other friend who just recently went home from her mission advised us to get our immunizations at the MTC rather than getting them before we report to the MTC. This is because she (my RM friend) spent for immunizations before entering the MTC only to learn that upon arriving there, they will have to get those immunizaions again.

I will really appreciate you advice. Thank you in advance.

I would be surprised if the paperwork you received did not address this somewhere. If not, call and ask. When I went to the Philippines, we went to the Provo MTC, so there was no similar confusion. Search your paperwork for the info, or a number to call.

Congrats on the call, I had a friend go to Davao and he loved it there. The Philippines is awesome (even if uncomfortably hot and humid).

I got all my shots before I entered the MTC. I did have to get tested for HIV/AIDS while in the MTC for my Ukrainian visa.
Call the MTC to verify. That's what I would do.
