I am curious as to what being a mother means to the other mothers in LDS Talk

To me, being a mother means that I get to wake up to a little person who loves me so much

Being a mother means that I get to look after this precious gift from Heavenly Father.......

i don't know where it comes from or who wrote it but i have this framed in my home. it was given to me, found at a garage sale. i like it.

"A MOTHER'S CALLING

God has uniquely designed me to be a mother.
He has created me with a special ability to nurture and care for my children.
He has chosen me to love them and mentor them.
I show my love for my children by loving their father.

Even though this culture has placed greater significance on activities outside the home.
I choose to be a woman who loves my husband and children,
is self-controlled and pure, and cares for my home.

By doing this, I show my love for God and His Word."

It means everything to me to be a mother. There is love, anger, frustration, hurt, more emotions that I can name. Especially being teenagers. But to hear my son tell people: "I would rather hang out with my mom than my friends...she's more fun," makes my day. Though I then wonder if my son has some social issues. :P I can't imagine life without them. They have made my life full and rewarding.

AWW, One of my most loved topics.

To me being a mother is a closeness that holding your child, young or old, your hearts beat as one.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...I am a mother first and a woman second.

My kids define me...they are my reason for living. I love them more than I love my own life...

Being a mother...is absolute and unconditional love.

I feel such pride when I am asked what I do for a living....

I answer: "I am a mama"

That is who I am

That is what I do

That is what completes me

That is what gives me the most satisfaction in life

This is who I dreamed of being & looked so forward to becoming
