Default Please Pray for My Husband

Please pray for my husband-Art. We are not LDS members. We are Christians. My husband is 59, a registered nurse-and diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer.
Please pray for the ultimate will of God in his life. Please pray for a healing of his cancer if that is in God's will.
Please pray for me-as his wife-of 33 years and his caregiver-that I will be accepting of this diagnosis and be able to continue to care for him.
Please pray that we both and our family will find peace with this diagnosis.
God bless each of you.
-Carol

So sorry to hear about this. That is a very difficult diagnosis.
These things are so very heavy to carry and I am sorry you find yourself in this situation.
I am sure God will bless you with the strength you need and with tender mercies for your secret heartache.

My prayer thoughts are with you.

Carol, it doesn't matter what religion you are, we are brothers and sisters in this mortality and care for each other. For me, I will be there for you.

Did Art receive a priesthood blessing at this time?

Default Priesthood Blessings

Thank you for your caring concern.
We are Roman Catholics and my husband has received anointing of oil by our priest as well as Reconciliation/Confession and Holy Eucharist/Communion.
Part of the ritual is a blessing to him by our priest.
(These were once called "The Last Rites" in the Catholic Church-but the term has been changed and Catholics can receive them anytime they are sick. They do not have to be on death's door to receive them.)

I am so very sorry. You and your husband will definitely be in my prayers. I'm glad to hear that he received a blessing from your priest.

Carol, I know how difficult it is loving and living with someone with a terminal disease. I took care of my mother the last four years of her illness. It is hard watching them suffer, knowing that there is little you can do to ease their pain. You and your family will be in my thoughts and my prayers. If you need someone to talk with, I will gladly be here for you.
