Pawn shops are a great idea, although you'd have difficulty proving they were yours unless they're marked.

Maybe for Christmas, he needs a tool to mark tools?

You may want to see if you can file a police report, just in case they do show up in a pawn shop.

Thanks for the prayers! I called the police station this morning and left a message, they called back and left a message saying they had the bag, I called my husband, he went to get it, and they said some wonderful person came in with it very concerned because it was obviously someone's livelihood. Woo hoooooo!!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! I wish they got their name. I want to do something special for them.
