Morning Star I am so sorry this has happened - has he checked the church website for church opportunities? it would be more secure if he got a job there we were looking and there were jobs in facilites management last year, may not be exactly what he wants.. right now they look like mostly IT posts but building related ones come up

I read recently that even the church has placed a hiring freeze on jobs. However, my local church employment office still sends out notices of job fairs and job opportunities as they get them. Has your hubby gone to one of the church's employment workshop.

Many will loose homes, jobs, and so-called worldy items but at least we have our testimonies, our family, and the church.

No, he hasn't looked for jobs through the church. That's a great idea. Thank you! So there are job listings on lds.org?

Actually, yes. Right here: LDS.org - Employment
Click on Employment Opportunities with the Church for church employment and click on Looking for a Good Job? for other employment opportunities in your area.
Good luck, MorningStar, you and your family will be in my prayers.

Your local stake should also have an employment workshop for members. Talk to your bishop, he can point you in the right direction.
