Default This looks like a prayer chain

This looks like a prayer section. I am reading the book of Mormon on my ipod. My husband is anti-LDS. I am really thinking I am meant to be LDS. When I read I get peaceful feelings. Instantly calming and something I never got with the bible. My husband is a good man who the heavenly father could change. I have been praying for a change. I am now asking you all to pray with me. Thank you!

You and your husband will definitely be in my prayers.

Just keep in mind that your husband may never change. My entire family is anti-LDS and in spite of years of prayer and trying to "teach by example" not one of them has changed. If you truly feel that this is the Lord's true church, you must make your decision to join based on that. Hopefully your husband will at least understand your feelings, even if he can't share them. Above all, make sure he knows that your church membership will not affect your love for him. There is misinformation out there that Mormons have to turn their back on their non-Mormon family members. This is not true, so reassure him of that.

Good luck, and I will be praying for you.

Will keep you in our prayers and do not get into the habit of preaching to him.....don't talk about it unless he brings it up...

I just wanted to update everyone on how things were going. I did not go to an LDS church today as planned. My husband got up today and announced that he wanted to go to church. This was such a unexpected thing for me that I know the father had something to do with this. We went to a new church which was Christian. It left him feeling very unfufilled. Today we did discuss LDS though. It came up quite naturally as I was talking about my paper that I have been working on which is about polygamy in Ill. I asked if would go with me sometime to the church to check it out and he said never in a million years. He did ask me a lot of typical antilds questions which I had to debunk for him. Baby steps is what I am learning so far. I am still reading the BOM and feeling confident about it.

Baby steps are good. It's good that he's asking questions, even if they are anti at this point. DH's mom won't even discuss the church in any way, shape or form, so we can't even debunk misinformation for her at all.

I will keep you and your husband in my prayers.

I will add you to my payers too. Sometimes the debunking questions need to be got out of the way to open a person's mind to the truth.
