Default My dad needs some prayers...

Yesterday my father passed out at work and stopped breathing...luckily two of his co-workers were able to administer cpr until the EMS could get there. They had to shock his heart 4 times to get his rhythm back. He is in intensive care and stable for the time being. I have been at the hospital since yesterday afternoon. I was able to get the local Elders to administer a blessing, but I would like to ask for as many prayers as possible. They are not sure if it was a heart attack or what, so they are continuing to do more tests to find out what is happening. So we are being patient and waiting for answers.

You for sure have it from me. My own father passed away just over a month ago. May he get better and they find the answers you are looking for.

an update about my father...

He has made an almost complete recovery. He is in, what his doctors have called, the 1% club. They told us that 95% of folks that have the heart attack that he had outside of the hospital die. Of the 5% that live 80% of those people have some loss of brain function or other permanent damage of some bodily system. My father obviously did not die and has full motor function as well as memory and cognitive skills. I truly believe that I have been witness to a miracle and to the healing power of a priesthood blessing. I would like to thank my Heavenly Father for this gift and for the young Elder that performed the blessing. I am thankful to all those on here and in my life that prayed for my father. My testimony has been strengthened because of this event and I know that my father has been touched deeply by the love that has been shown to him during this time. The doctors and nurses have been wonderful. Thanks again to everyone.

Here is a website that I have been updating this whole time with what has been happening to him.

CaringBridge / bill-lentz / Welcome
