Hemi...originally, it was cancer found in asophugus (sp?). It spread to liver. bit surgery got that. After surgery, there have been repeated complications, and he's been in ICU for nearly two weeks now. Still no updates since Friday, so it's likely wait and see at this point.

Thanks Pam. Yes, I'm pleased to share that my brother in law appears to have made the turn around. His kidneys are doing better and he's off the ventilator. Improvements are "baby steps," and his recovery remains somewhat tenuous, and definitely will be measured in double-digit months. But, this is much better than what we were looking at a week ago. May God use this to reveal himself to them! Amen.
