I'll just paste the email from my mom:

Paul's MRI showed a ruptured disk in his neck. He went to a neurosurgeon today and after he looked at the MRI, he sent Paul straight to the hospital for surgery tomorrow. He said the disk was too bad to treat, so he has to remove it. Please say a prayer for my Paul. He has had so much pain in the last year. This has been excrutiating for him. The doctor sent him to the hospital today to try to stop the pain before he does surgery tomorrow. Paul is very nervous and scared. Thinking about surgery on your spine is very scary. Please say a prayer that the doctor will be blessed to do this successfully and that he will have a complete recovery. Please remember Paul in your prayers tonight. Love Linda
