I've worked in the nuclear industry since 1985 and I can tell you that if there ever is a 'nuclear holocaust" you can't plan for it. It's all about where you happen to be in relation to where the nuke happens to be.
Having said that I have to add I don't believe we'll ever have a nuclear war.
