Question Idiots guide to food storage?

Is there something like this put out by the church? I measure how much my family eats in terms of Happy meals and frozen pizza so when i hear about storing flour of butter I am at a loss. Is there something like that ?

Provident Living has tons of links for beginners and experts alike.

Preparedness is just like anything else - you get good at it the more you do it.

Happy storing!

I know this will sound rather harsh, and I'm sorry that it will come out that way, but I know no other way to say it but I consider that to be "nutritional abuse". That's just not the way to feed a family. It's unhealthy for the body and the budget. It's building bad habits and will cause health issues down the line for your family. Also, your family will be at a great disadvantage during hard times because they'll be finicky and reject food others offer to them. You might want to try getting a good basic cookbook and start working your way up from easier recipes and retrain your family to eat "real food".
