When Mulluet head posted this I wanted to respond to it, but in order to not fuel his fire I did not.

That being said..
An email regarding this and BYU asking their students to be ready for this went around a while back. It made me perk up my ears a bit and think about it. I did go to the school web site and found it to be true and thought about it some more. BUT when the chuch posts it on THE major web site (like it has, see link above) I do sit up and take notice. To me this is like hearing it from the prophet. I know now that I should take action and add these things to my home first aid kits and also to my car kits.

its the same stuff they have been encouraging us to do for years....now there is a web site for it....

yes we have been told to be prepared and I'm almost as prepared as Mullenite, but now they have come out with very speicific steps and things to have in your home and 72 hr kit fo a pandemic.
(now I'm going to have to go through 30 years of RF hand-outs and other notebooks to see if I missed when they asked us to have pandemic stuff.)

go ahead and go thru 30yrs of stuff....but keep this in mind......years ago the gov't use to tell us in case of a nuclear attack to drop and cover your head with newspaper....now today we laugh at that....my point is...I am sure the church has changed some things in regards to how they encourage members to be ready for an emergency...as I have stated in another thread...I have no probs with someone being prepared....I don't like the gloom and doom that he tries to spew here....
