Default Food Storage Help

now, I hold a black belt in couponing

I have mastered that skill and have accomplished dangerous and amazing feats of money saving and stockpiling...

but my dilemma is with baking from scratch, canning etc..

until recently I burned everything including water.. and the only reason that stopped was because I got a whistling teapot

I have been able to teach my kids how to cook/bake.. and they do amazingly well.. go figure..

so anyhow.. I need ideas. I saw in the thread someone said you can make your own mayo.. I can get MIRACLE WHIP and other type itemsso cheap with coupons but I may not always be able too... and I would like to be able to take advantage of fruit sales and enjoy it year round as my kids could live on fresh fruits and veggies.. I have more of a problem with my 2 year old stealing lettuce from the garden than I do with insects and critters LOL

so anyhow.. tips, suggestions, recipies ideas on baking cooking canning etc would be apreciated

Here's my mayo recipe:
INGREDIENTS
5 eggs
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. dry mustard
5 TBSP. sugar
2 cups canola oil

DIRECTIONS
Put eggs in blender until well blended.
Blend in dry ingredients on high.
S-l-o-w-l-y add canola oil while continuing to blend on high.

Keep refrigerated for up to 8 weeks.
