Default The Long Emergency...happening now!

Lets see record unemployment rates where people are desperate to eat. Alot of people in dire straits in many states in the US. Record heat waves including texas and now BC canada.

We are approaching 40c which is nearly 100 degree F. The economy here is improving. But when it comes to unemployment and dieing agriculture, those are MUCH worse then say other forms of disasters.

Scorching heat wave expected to peak today

Source, please? Neither of your links say anything about unemployed people going hungry, or any other American for that matter.

Yep - I'm sure there are lots of stories about people worrying about food, but "desperate to eat" hasn't happened in America in a long time. The food is there - unless bcguy has access to some information I don't...

I'd love to see a reference, a link, anything. The stories I've encountered about true hunger in America all involve other causes besides lack of food. Addictions (spending the food money on drugs or gambling), or pride (people don't want to go on food stamps, or to the soup kitchen, or let the Bishop know).

Again, bcguy's claim is "people are desperate to eat". "I don't wanna go onto food stamps" doesn't qualify as desperate.
