I and my family have lived off the grid for ten years now, in southern utah

I have been preparing a 20 acrea homestead for the past 10 years. It is not easy, I learned a lot about what not to do, than what to do. The books in the book store are just to basic and written by people who have never gone out and lived this way.
I am a vietnam Veteran and decided 10 years ago that it was time to move out of society and begin to build a place of refudge. We have done it. Built a 6 bedroom home, spring for our water, green house, solar etc. Like I said its not easy and not for the faint harted. It is a lot of dedication. I would love to show you how and let you pick my brain on what we learned. If you are in the area of Southern Utah, north of Enterprise.. I would love to have you come up and visit. I have four kids and a wife who would love to share our lives with you.... hillbilly_dave503 at yahoo.... I will send you pictures and help you get out of the city when in the next year or so, you must get out or parish.

Let me make sure I understand this. If we live in a city we have just a year to get out or we will perish? How might you know this?

This is not rocket science... just look around and read your Isaiah.. We have been warned over and over to get out of babylon, if you don't you will partake of her distruction. The city is a death camp. You will be forced to leave someday IF you want to live. They only way to leave is to prepare for it now. We have a short time with this economy to prepare.
I didn't want to argue over it. You do what you think is right and how you see it comming, as I have done. Free Agency

So tell us Hill-Billy, would you feel comfortable being a bit more specific with your "next year or so" prediction? I mean, is there a specific date that can pass where you will admit maybe the end isn't as close as you thought?
In other words...
I first heard my first "the end is near" prediction in 1986, and I've heard maybe a dozen since then. They all turned out to be tinfoil-hat-wearing goofy-nonsense-spewing illogical-reasoning unnecessarily-melodramatic weirdos. But you're different, right? I'm just looking for a little assurance. If you could give me a drop-dead date that society will 100% be collapsed by, then I'll put a reminder in my outlook calendar here at work. Then, "a year or so" from now, it will pop up, and I can say to myself "imagine that - Hill-billy was just as wrong as the other 13!"
Conversly, if the date passes and I'm eating dog food straight from the can with a dirty stick while huddled in a burned out warehouse, I'll be able to think to myself "well whaddaya know - HillBilly was right!"
Are you up to the challenge?

Not trying to argue. Not everyone can afford a groovy 20 acre plot of land. I've been taught over the years to prepare the best we can no matter where we are. Whether that be in the city or in the country. I choose to follow that counsel.

Thats correct. wherever faithfull saints are gathered is where it will be a zion, From apostolic testimony and instruction; we are not going to have to go into the hills to find peace and safety if we are prepared.

Apparently he never learned ya yer manners either. "Hill-billie my boy, the way to get ahead in this world is to walk into a room, make mention of some bizarre fringe nonsense that nobody believes, and then start hurling insults when people don't take ya seriously!"
Nor did he teach you the difference between arguing and answering simple questions.
Apparently he did teach you the time-honored skill of evasion - I'm so busy being insulted, I didn't even notice you refused to even hint at addressing my question.

(I've learned the lesson of good opsec pretty well, you'd probably never guess that I'm actually very much active in preparing for difficult times, off on my semi-secluded acerage 15 miles outside the city, far away from any main roads. Living off the grid is admirable. Failing to understand how you come across to people is a hinderance.)
