Default Super Saturday

Do all wards have Super Saturday? If you have it, when do you have it?

Sears has Super Saturday Sales up here. Never heard of one for the Ward though.

What is it?

Our Super Saturday is a Tri-Ward RS activity where we all get together from 9:00am until 3:00pm on one Saturday each year and make crafts. We also have lunch together.

We generally don't anymore...thank goodness, LOL.

Nah, we have one about once every couple of years. I almost went to the last one - one of the crafts was wooden plaques with quotes on them. I'd have gone, but they didn't offer "Zip it."

We usually have our Super Saturday in November but this year we opted for May. We're making "Bloom Where You're Planted" wooden signs, Pine Cone ornaments made from ribbon, Glass Block Temples, Nativity Sets, Photo books, Living Christ photo mats, Pictorial Family trees, Coasters out of tile, Boutonnieres and corsages as well as the standard "gifts in a jar" like soup and cookies.
We're also asking everyone to sign up to bring soups, sandwiches and desserts.

I think we have Super Saturdays, but we call them Women's Conferences. I think we have a regional one, but our stake also does one once or twice a year. I hear they're great...I never get to go because my super Saturday consists of working. Lame....

Super Saturday has been a Stake activity since I was in Mutual. For as long as I can remember it was every month, although it is up to the stake. My current stake has it every 3rd Saturday of the month. First a lesson from the regional Church Education person (seminary), then an activity/dance.
