Our garage was converted into a food storage area with shelving ect. (It looks like a Costco). We can't really hide anything because it would be difficult to rotate it when we use it. However, my neighbor's living room end tables and coffee table are all food storage in boxes covered with cloth.....works for them and they get to actually park in their garage!

I've seen people use the space under a pool table, but for a really great food storage there is no hiding. Just be happy you have it.

Ummm, my first time doing this so I guess I hope this goes through. My parents have converted my brothers' old bedroom into a kind of junk room, It has stuff that they dont use on a daily basis in there, and my mom puts all of her canned stuff in there. that way she has it if she needs it, and she does not have to take up her entire kitchen cabinet with her canning. She also has an extra fridge and freezer out in the garage. I can not speak so much for myself yet because every time I try to start building a storage, I have to eat it cause I run out of money for groceries, but Mom's method works great for her.

I think it was the movie "The RM" where they made a bed with the food storage for the returned missionary because his room had been given to the 'exchange student'?
