i actually agree with you that part of taking the Lord's name in vain is taking His name upon yourself but not acting Christlike. Hypocrisy is a form of blasphemy I believe which is why its such a serious sin and the one the Lord was most outspoken about in His lifetime.

1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. Emphisis mine. So, why are we trying to argue this? God IS love! What a beautiful thing to remember. I have to spend more time pondering this.
