I have a road bike, requires human leg power. Love riding my bike on the road, usually 25-50 miles at a time.

I ride DH and single trail, I am addicted to the speed, the close calls and being just over the edge of control of my bike. Here is what I ride:

2007 marin wolfridge. absolutely awesome bike. mine has taken a punishing and still rides sweet. Mine is a this colour though (it's not me in the pic)

New Zealand has some awesome trails. I ride rotorua whakarewarewa forest mostly, because it's got a shuttle to the top of the hill and I don't like riding uphill

Rode a Mountian bike for the first time. It was pretty fun actually! So lets see if there are any bikers here! Share the knowledge of trails and maybe you can help this newbie out a bit too!
As for trails there are a lot here in south west ohio. The Little Miami Scenic trail is a great place to bike. Esp for beginners or those with young ones. Its pretty flat less than a one percent grade. It mostly follows a river. Was built upon an old Rail Road Roadbed hince the flatness. There are Alot of stops along the way to get water, get a bite to eat, or just watch the river and all the nature around it! the trail starts at Milford and ends about 90 miles away in Urbana ohio.
My goal is to be able to bike the whole trail by the end of October. and yes that means there and back!
I think we will sit back and applaud you.....go go go....

yeah...the boulder SE...little more but worht it. had a few upgrades and a bit lighter frame. Still trying to get used to the gears. When I do distance its a bit rough. usually stay in one or 2 gears. its great for hills though. on friday i am going for about a 50 mile plus ride. the next thing i get is a camel back!
one thing i would get is a post set type of cargo device. makes it nice to put trail munchies in!

I never learnt how to ride a bicycle...EVEN with a Dutch mother.
