I love saying this word. hahahaha It's been 15 years since I lived in Hawaii and I still remember it.
Ever count how many letters are in the Hawaiian language? I used a map of Hawaii, and wrote down all of the letters. There is not 26 of them. Also, every vowel and every constanant are pronounced just like all of the names in the Book of Mormon!!

Once upon a time I had a freebie Book of Mormon that had a pronunciation guide in it - every vowel and every constanant! I love to say Abinadi, Moroni, Helaman.

only 12 letters...perhaps the pronunciations are similar because polynesians are also considered lamanites...

and did you know that humuhumunukunukuapua'a means "fish with a nose like a pig"...we have a fun song about it that we teach our preschoolers.
