i went a public school in new jersey, just across the river from NYC, and we (boys) had to wear a jacket and tie (suits, suit jacket, etc.). this was from (for me) 1966 to 1970, hippie era, of which i considered my self one...hippie, not era.
mini-skirts just came out and they were banned in school.
next day, EVERY girl that owned one, wore it.
next day, they were no longer forbidden.
some of the boys tried to do the same with jackets and ties (other schools in our county didnt have to wear them) and it failed miserably.
girls rule!!

I disagree, it looks just as bad on the skinny girls as on the chubby ones

Agreed.

You know, the girls who wear this stuff say it looks professional, but there is only one profession I can think of where it would be ok, but I don't want to get banned, so I'm not going to say which one that is.

Gretchen are you talking about prostitution? You can say prostitution on this site.

lol, thanks Pam. I didn't want to take the chance of being banned from such an awesome site.

Yes, prostitution is the only profession I can think of where micros are "professional" looking.

I lived in Belgium as a kid for a few years (military dad) and attended the English elementary school instead of the American one. We wore uniforms and I liked it! I moved back to the states in time to enter middle school and wow, the clothing styles were definitely a surprise for me.

Nu uh uh

It's really just unfashionable and raunchy regardless of the size of the waistline. Thongs are so 90's..

There's always a rebel in every group.
