It is important to let your friends know about your standards so you don't get caught in a sticky situation

Because if you do not, a lot of feelings could be hurt and you may be pressured to do something that you know is wrong.

There are some very good follow up threads to this and as an adult I am glad I read this.

Thumbs down

In addition, it is a good habit to reread the pamphlet regularly. It will remind us to keep the standards. Keeping it in your wallet will do no good unless you read it.

A very wise young man for your age. I'm very impressed.

i love reading the messages that the For the Strength of Youth has to offer. even though i am now out of the Young Women program and in the Relief Society, i still read the pamphlet two times each week--on Sunday after church (or before i go to bed) and on Friday before i had out to hang out with my friends. i think this pamphlet is for everyone, not just the youth, because it has some VERY important guidelines that we all need to follow in order to enter into the gates of heaven to live with our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ once more. i know that im not the perfect person (none of us are) and that i have made quite a few mistakes in my life, but i am destined to get back on the straight and narrow path by living the standards found in the For the Strength of Youth.
i hope all go well for everyone and may God be with you in all your trials and hardships.

I have a wallet-sized edition. I got it from the New Era.
