I'm sure this topic was done to death, long before I get here. Sorry if it's stale.

Recently I had a very enjoyable experience with United airlines, since then I've had Rapsity in Blue by Gerswin in my head. I hear it when I type and think and sleep. So I dug up an old record and played the entire song. It's like 14-15 miniutes long, and let me tell you, it is *good* for those 14-15 mins. It got me to thinking about all the times I've been told to "keep the music you listen to uplifting". No one ever defined what "uplifting" music is for me, but while I was sitting there for 15 mins it kind of hit me, this is it.

By the way, have you guys heard Flyleaf? they're hard core Chirstian rock. It's for all the NIN fans who are sick of hearing "god is dead". Also uplifting. though they don't play the really christian songs on their page, you can get a taste for them at http://www.flyleafmusic.com/

What uplifting music do you listen to?

p.s. I think I'm liking LDS dialog and Discussion now, I actually started a thread that didn't get shut down b/c of fights.
