Vodka is my favorite Russian word. Voda (emphasis on the a) means water. Ka is a diminuitive denoting affection and little. So, vodka, means "dear little water"--since this spirit has little water and is held so dear by so many, what a witty and clever moniker!

Lol I saw that this morning. I was thinking if that had happened here, health and safety officials would have had a field day.

It was a disaster waiting to happen. Fortunately is was vodka and not something really good like cherry coke
